Madrigal singers rehearse for 'True Love's Curse'

Stevenson High School's madrigal singers were hard at work on Friday afternoon getting their vocal cords in tune for their sold-out dinner show at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove on Sunday. "True Love's Curse," a story set in the Renaissance era, is described by one of the student playwrights, Mary Baldino, 16, of Kildeer, as a "love story gone wrong." In the production, the townspeople of Silverash must right the wrong of the curse put in place by an evil sorceress. The ending is unexpected and heartwarming, Baldino says.
