Rosemont mall to host Chinese New Year performances

Fashion Outlets of Chicago will host an afternoon of cultural performances, activities and games Sunday, Feb. 18, to celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year.

In partnership with the Huaxing Arts Group, the Rosemont mall will offer calligraphy, lantern making, mask making, a photo booth and fortune telling from 1 to 2 p.m. in the food court. Traditional Chinese dancers, musicians and Kung Fu performers will host a show at 2 p.m., after which games and activities will continue until 3:30 p.m.

The shopping center is also celebrating the "Year of the Dog" with a variety of retailer offers from Feb. 16 to March 4.
