Tickets remain for an "Oscar Shorts" film festival on March 3 and 4 in Barrington, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Barrington Cultural Commission.

Now in its sixth year, the 2018 fest at the Catlow Theater, 116 W. Main St., will start with a sold-out show Saturday, Feb. 24. However, a limited number of tickets are available for the two additional showings on Saturday, March 3, and Sunday, March 4.

The showings run from noon to 4 p.m. and feature all 10 short films nominated for Academy Awards in the animated and live action categories.

This year, the Catlow will have wine and beer available during the festival in addition to food selections from the adjacent Showtime Eatery. For tickets, go to or buy in person at the theater or neighboring restaurant.
