AARP to offer tax preparation help at Gurnee library

IRS-certified volunteers will provide free, individualized tax preparation for taxpayers 50 and older at the Warren Newport Public Library, 224 N. O'Plaine Road, Gurnee, on Friday, Feb. 10. Other sessions are: Feb. 9, 16 and 23; March 2, 9, 23 and 30; April 6 and April 13.

The volunteers are from AARP and will be at the library as part of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program, which has been helping people for more than 50 years. Those interested in receiving their services need only to bring their relevant tax-related information. For a list of what to bring, visit aarp.org/money/taxes.

Each session runs from 9:15 a.m. to noon. Waiting numbers will be given out by volunteers in order of arrival. No loitering will be allowed outside of the library before 8:45 a.m.
