Help Toys for Tots in Barrington area

Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District is once again collecting toys for - and delivering cheer to - local children in need through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves' annual Toys for Tots program. Department officials invite residents and local businesses to bring new, unwrapped toys to drop boxes at Station 1, 22222 N. Pepper Road, Lake Barrington, and Station 2, 120 W. Algonquin Road, Barrington Hills. Toy donations will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The collection will occur through Dec. 18. Donated toys will be distributed as gifts to less-fortunate children who live in the Barrington area. "We believe strongly in supporting those who need help - especially during the holidays," said Assistant Chief Scott Motisi. "The Toys for Tots program is an excellent way to brighten the season for those who need it most. We encourage our residents to help us make a difference in a child's life."
