Kane County

• A resident of the 43W700 block of Oakleaf Drive near Elburn reported $100 was stolen from an unlocked car between 10 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday as dozens of unlocked cars on that street, Concord Court and Greenbrier Drive were entered and rummaged through.


• Two blowers, four trimmers and a chain saw -- a total value of $2,170 -- were stolen from a trailer on the 1200 block of Jackson Street near Aurora between 5 p.m. Nov. 16 and 10 a.m. Friday.

• Ryan W. Dixon, 23, of the 800 block of River's Edge, Minooka, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance, expired registration and failure to report a crash about 1:30 a.m. Thursday after crashing into a guard rail and a tree near Silver Glen Road and Route 31 near St. Charles, according to a sheriff's report.
