Beware of after-flood scammers, Lake County sheriff says

Lake County sheriff's police are warning people affected by last week's flood to beware of scammers and other criminals. Protect yourself by checking with the Better Business Bureau and your insurance company to determine whether a repair service is credible. Also, don't let anyone in your house unless you have initiated an appointment. Get several estimates for repairs before hiring a contractor, too. If you see suspicious behavior, call the police.
