Wheeling police officers chauffeured second grade student Leonardo Perez to school last week after he won a bingo contest at a Booth Tarkington Elementary School fundraiser.

School Resource Officer Lukasz Czapla and Officer Scott Laverd drove the 8-year-old to school in the police department's SUV.

While his older brother is in school to become a police officer, Leonardo has aspirations to be an artist, astronaut -- or police officer.

Officers spent time with the Perez family before driving Leonard to school last Friday.
