Aurora man killed in crash
An Aurora man died after a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Kendall County, Illinois State Police said.
The crash happened at 8:50 a.m. on Route 71 north of Hughes Road.
Robert Hoglund, 49, of Aurora was driving a Lexus GX 470 north on Route 71 when a southbound Chevy TrailBlazer driven by Julia Frick, 18, of Marseilles crossed over the centerline and crashed head-on into Hoglund's car, police said.
Both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals. Hoglund was pronounced dead at the hospital. There were no passengers in either vehicle. State police continue to investigate.
