Science Storytime - Bugs, Bugs, Bugs: 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson St., Mount Prospect. For children ages 3-6 with an adult. Crawl, buzz, or flutter into this bug-themed storytime. Listen to stories, sing songs, and do simple science activities. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Museum Drop-in Program - Ready for Spring: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, Elk Grove Historical Museum, 399 Biesterfield Road, Elk Grove Village. Drop in each month features a different theme. Go on a tour of the farmhouse and make a simple children's craft to take home. No registration required; call ahead if you have more than five in your group. Elk Grove Historical Society members are free; nonmembers are $1. For children ages 3 and older.

Vlogging 101 for Teens: 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson St., Mount Prospect. For teens in grades six-12. Get started in video logging (or vlogging) by using the Mount Prospect Public Library's iPads to learn about filming and editing and to share and hear ideas about different vloggers to watch, follow, and find inspiration. Shamrock Scramble: 1-2 p.m. Sunday, March 12, Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, Schaumburg. Open to children ages 1 to 6. St. Patrick's Day-themed event includes making crafts and going on a shamrock scavenger hunt. Each shamrock will contain a special treat. 'Aladdin Jr.': 7 p.m. Friday, March 10, and Saturday, March 11; 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12, Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg. The show features a cast of memorable characters, including Jasmine and Aladdin and the Genie. Tickets are available at the Community Recreation Center and cost $12 for adults, $7 for children ages 12 and younger and free to children ages 2 and younger if being held. Dribble with Dad: 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 11, Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way, Schaumburg. Children ages 4 to 9 are invited to join their dads in friendly sports competitions. Each participant will enjoy a snack, make a craft and go home with a sports gift to remember the day. Play some basketball, floor hockey, football, baseball and soccer. Cost is $10 per child for residents and $12 per child for nonresidents. Registration is required by March 10. Spring Fling Drive, Chip and Putt Tournament: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, Glenview Park Golf Club, 800 Shermer Road, Glenview. All contestants will compete in three categories.
