Benefit concert: A concert to celebrate the acquisition of Bryan House, a house to help refugees and named after North Central student Bryan Guzman who died one year ago, begins at 7 p.m. Jan. 11 at The Union, 29 E. Benton Ave., Naperville. The concert includes music by Bryan's brother, Dan Guzman, and Kevin Prchal of The Young Sea. Admission is $5 with all proceeds benefiting Bryan House. Winter theater: "The Red Herring," Michael Hollinger's story of three pairs of lovers whose lives intertwine in a 1952 Cold War espionage caper, is presented at 8 p.m. Jan. 11 and 12 n the Heininger Auditorium at the Larrance Academic Center, 309 E. Author talk:ŒWriter and performer Eoin Colfer puts on a one-man show for middle readers, "Fairies, Fiends, and Flatulence," and signs copies of his newest book, "Airman," at 11 a.m. Jan. 12 in Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville. For tickets, call Anderson's Bookshop at (630) 355-2665.

Art exhibit:ŒAn art exhibit titled "Global Narrowing" by Kathryn Kucera featuring an array of artistic collages with materials collected from around the world is up through Feb. 4 in the gallery of Oesterle Library, 320 E.
