Let's get saucy! Barbecue sauce comes in a breadth of varieties, and it's fun to make your own
I love making my own barbecue sauces at home. Mostly because I usually have the pantry ingredients to make them at home vs. buying them in the store. And I like that I can control the amount of sugar, etc. Did you know that most bottled barbecue sauces have high fructose corn syrup as the first ingredient?
Today I am sharing four of my favorite sauces. And yes, one of them is a lighter version copycat recipe for Raising Cane's dipping sauce. So good!
Because there are no preservatives, the sauces will last 10-14 days in your refrigerator.
My grandfather was born in Eastern North Carolina, where the prominent ingredient in that barbecue sauce is vinegar, making it one of my favorites.
My Korean BBQ Sauce is perfect for pork lettuce cups or as a dip for your favorite frozen wontons.
My late husband and I could never agree on a barbecue sauce until we went to Rudy's BBQ in Austin, Texas. We were shocked that we loved the same barbecue sauce! Sadly, we only bought one bottle to bring home, so I came up with this copycat version that I think tastes almost identical to Rudy's. Side
