Summer at COD's Lakeside Pavilion: Don Gatlin with The Kenny Rogers Band, New Philharmonic, more

An eclectic mix of music and dance acts are part of the 2022 outdoor summer concert at the Lakeside Pavilion next to College of DuPage's McAninch Arts Center in Glen Ellyn.

There are touring country bands, rock tribute shows and lots of homegrown musical talent.

The full lineup features:

• "Through the Years" starring Don Gatlin with the Kenny Rogers Band, 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 15: The band that backed up the late Grammy Award-winner Kenny Rogers this time supports country singer/songwriter Don Gatlin.

• "Ralph's World" at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17: The multitalented homegrown indie rocker, songwriter, playwright and children's book author Ralph Covert performs his family-friendly show.

• Altoizm at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21: Chicago's finest alto saxophonists Greg Ward, Sharel Cassity and Rajiv Halim make up this jazzy saxophone supergroup.

• "The Greatest Piano Men" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 22: This tribute show celebrates piano-playing icons like Little Richard, Ray Charles and more.

• "Family Fiesta" at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24: Celebrate Mexican culture with Mariachi Monumental de Mexico and Aurora's Ballet Folklorico Quetzalcoatl led by Director and Choreographer Juan Manuel "Nery" Cruz.

• Dave Stryker's 8-Track Band: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28: Jazz guitarist Dave Stryker and his ensemble reinterpret plenty of pop and R&B hits of the 1970s.

• "Magic of Motown" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 29: This popular tribute show returns to pay homage to starry recording artists like Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, The Four Tops and more.

• "Artrageous" at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 31: A troupe of 12 artists, singers, dancers and musicians create visual art pieces on stage while live musicians perform pop and country favorites.

• New Philharmonic at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5: Conductor and Music Director Kirk Muspratt leads College of DuPage's resident professional orchestra in a pops program of Broadway show tunes, movie score selections and more.
