Sound check: Jukebox the Ghost revisits 'Everything'
Jukebox redux
East Coast-based Jukebox the Ghost took to the internet last month for the first of a two-part streaming series exploring the band's earlier albums. On Thursday, May 20, the piano-driven pop band dives deep into its second release, 2010's “Everything Under the Sun,” treating new and longtime fans alike to a playthrough of the album peppered with stories about the music, the band's history and recent life for the trio. The performance, at New York City's Rockwood Music Hall, will be streamed - with an after-party and virtual meet-and-greet and merch bundles available as well - at sessionslive.com.

Bubbles, families and fun
Chicago Children's Theatre is blasting families into summer with its Little Jams festival, a weekly outdoor and interactive children's music event featuring performances from Chicago-area artists and the group's in-house rock stars: Ariana Burks, Nick Davio, Lily Emerson, Yuri “The Human Beat Box” Lane and Xavier Roe. Each Saturday and Sunday from May 15 to June 6, Chicago Children's Theatre will present two fast-paced and high-energy shows at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. - starting off this weekend with Glen Ellyn musician Ralph Covert of Ralph's World - to audiences in drive-in fashion (Car Pods) and seated areas for families who walk or bike to the show (People Pods). Space is limited to ensure safe distances between attendees, so reserve a spot early.

Coming Bach to you
Classical lovers, gather around your screens for the annual Bach Week Festival, this year streaming webcasts Sunday, May 16, and Friday, May 21. The free streaming concerts will feature instrumental and vocal performances by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach along with a performance of one of his baroque-era contemporaries Georg Philipp Telemann. Sunday's performance will be a prerecorded webcast of Bach chorales and organ chorale preludes, while Friday's performance will feature his viola, organ and harpsichord work livestreaming from Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston.
