Rosemont confirms return of concert series

Rosemont officials Monday confirmed earlier plans to resume their weekly summer concert series, though it's still unknown which public health protocols might remain in place at that time.

The village's Parkway Bank Bank entertainment district is set to bring back the Rockin' in the Park and Friday Night Concert free outdoor concert series. Specific dates and series lineups will be announced later, officials said.

Free Yoga and Zumba classes also are scheduled to return to the park this summer, officials announced Monday. Class dates and times will be announced later, and advance online registration will be required to ensure limited capacities and social distancing.

Village officials said they will continually monitor Illinois Department of Public Health guidance and adapt procedures as necessary in accordance with the state's Restore Illinois reopening plan.

“Our staff is working diligently to welcome these events back to Parkway Bank Park with the proper protocols in place to keep our guests safe,” Mayor Brad Stephens said in a statement.
