Sound check: Lumineers on screen, Plain White T's on stage
Acoustic White T's
Scratch your live-music itch as suburban pop-rock band Plain White T's plays an acoustic duo performance as part of the Genesee Street Cabaret series produced by Waukegan's Genesee Theatre. The concert by Tom Higgenson and Mike Retondo, featuring favorites from the band's classic catalog as well as newer hits, will be staged on the Three Brothers Theatre black-box stage following public health recommendations. Guests will be seated at distanced tables in pairs, and masks will be required.

Taking requests
Chicago's contemporary jazz icon Ramsey Lewis continues his monthly livestreaming showcase Saturday with his “Most Requested Songs”-themed performance. The one-hour livestream will feature some of Lewis' greatest hits along with special requests from his Facebook and StageIt pages. Tickets for the streaming show are $20, with a portion going to support The Jazz Foundation of America in its cause of helping jazz and blues musicians in times of need.

Big-screen Lumineers
In 2016, folk-rock band The Lumineers recorded a full-length, full-band concert at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. On Thursday, April 1, the band shares that footage with “The Lumineers: Live from the Artists Den,” a full-production concert spectacle, in an exclusive theatrical double-feature along with the short film “III,” a visual exploration of the band's music which premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. The release, in conjunction with Artists Den and Cinelife Entertainment, will also feature three unreleased tracks along with never-before-seen interview footage. Limited screenings will begin nationwide on April 1, with a local screening at 9 p.m. at Cinemark at Seven Bridges in Woodridge. Area screenings expand Friday, April 2, to 9 p.m. at Cinemark at Seven Bridges and Century 16 Deer Park as of press time. (Further screenings may become available, so keep an eye out for new listings.) Public health precautions will be in place at each screening; check theater listings for regulations.

Crown Vic release show
Chicago psych-rock/Southern rock band Crown Vic Royal dropped its newest release, the three-song EP “Cosmic Nights,” last Friday, and now members would like to celebrate it with you. Working with Reggie's Rock Club, the group set up a socially distanced show at Bananna's Comedy Shack on the venue's second floor for a limited-seating intimate performance. Masks are required for the event. Comedian Sohrab Forouzesh and Americana musician Cameron Foreman will open the evening.
