Spring Awakening goes online with Goldroom, Krewella, Gene Farris and more

Spring Awakening's cancellation from the ongoing pandemic left a gaping hole at the start of what many were already anticipating might be a barren summer festival season.

But organizer React Presents is making up for it. Virtual Spring Awakening goes global this weekend, with 22 artists streaming from across the nation, including Claude Vonstroke, Ookay, Goldroom, Bear Grillz and more.

And since Spring Awakening is a Chicago-born electronica fest, our hometown is well represented by sets from Manic Focus, Gene Farris, Porn and Chicken, Krewella, Birthdayy Partyy, GoodSex and Win & Woo.

The event kicks off at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 4, and streams for free until 12:30 a.m. Monday, July 6, at LiveXLive. Ad-free paid packages are also available.
