'Dear Evan Hansen' return Chicago engagement canceled
The return engagement of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical "Dear Evan Hansen," scheduled to play Chicago from July 7 to Sept. 27, has been canceled due to the ongoing ban on large gatherings issued in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Broadway in Chicago on Wednesday announced the musical - by composer/lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and writer Steven Levenson - will return to Chicago in 2022 with dates to be determined.
