Lulu Chapa on Challenge No. 1
I made Greek Lamb Beef Lettuce Wraps with Mediterranean Pico de Gallo and Green Bean Salad.
I made this mainly for the lamb beef patties; it gave me a nostalgic memory of the Mediterranean flavors. I wanted to create a healthy and colorful dish.
A low point in the challenge: when trying to incorporate the green beans and the liquid monk fruit. The high point: the result.
I used the liquid monk fruit to balance the acidity of the pico de gallo, and I got positive feedback from my taste-testers. As for surprises, I found the liquid monk fruit extremely sweet.
On the experience as a whole, I found it great! I did not find the ingredients too complicated, and it made for a colorful and healthy presentation.
