Wine, beer and cigar fest set for Saturday in Libertyville

The North Shore Wine, Beer & Cigar Festival is set for Saturday on Church Street between Milwaukee Avenue and Brainerd Avenue in downtown Libertyville.

Hosted by the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club, the event will feature more than 80 beers and 100 wines to sample, as well as food from local vendors and nonalcoholic beverages. Cigar samplings will be available through Main Street Social and Neumann's Cigars & More.

Proceeds from the festival are distributed to more than charities in Libertyville and Lake County, according to the club. Funds also are used to support local and international club-sponsored projects and for vocational and academic scholarships for graduating Libertyville High School students.

General admission tickets for $40 and VIP tickets for $160 are available online at www.northshorewineandbeerfest.com/buytickets. online sales end at midnight Friday, but tickets also can be purchased at the event, which begins at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for VIP ticketholders and 4 p.m. for general admission.
