Family desires a unique dining space

As you can see our yard is a blank canvas. We are seniors in need of a serious makeover.

We live on a corner and we envision some kind of unique dining area and planters with lots of color. We would also love a privacy fence around part of the patio. We enjoy reading the Daily Herald and seeing stories about past winners.

The Frank family has a large, rectangular, brick patio that is devoid of furnishings. It also lacks any nearby landscaping to bring color and coziness to the backyard.

Budget: $10,000

Suggestions

• We suggest adding a privacy fence then bringing in color by hanging some cute planters from it. You can also add a deluxe lounge planter.

• Add four high-back swivel dining chairs around a 48-inch umbrella table.

• To finish off the patio, ad two cushioned lounge chairs and an end table.
