Jeff Tweedy, frontman for Chicago-based alternative rock band Wilco, takes the stage again for his annual two-night Benefit for Education shows this weekend. Proceeds from tickets and poster sales at the show will go to educational organizations in the city.

Scottish Skerryvore

After a weekend celebrating the Irish, get a taste of the Scottish when Tiree-based Skerryvore pays a visit to Arlington Heights. Skerryvore, the internationally renowned eight-piece project fusing rock and pop with traditional Celtic sounds, melds thunderous drums, bagpipes, accordion and fiddles with modern rock trappings. Catch a night of upbeat, rousing tunes at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre.

Two nights with Eric Church

Nashville's Eric Church - the Country Music Association Award-winning singer-songwriter behind charting country hits "Guys Like Me," "Homeboy," "Hell on the Heart" and others - takes his fall 2018 release "Desperate Man" out for a spin with his "Double Down Tour." Catch the show at Rosemont's Allstate Arena two nights this weekend.

Glen Phillips at Old Town

Glen Phillips, the voice behind Toad the Wet Sprocket's vast catalog of heartfelt tunes, brings some of those songs and his nearly two decades of solo material to Chicago's Old Town School. Drawing from 2018's release, "Swallowed By the New," expect a raw, intensely vulnerable performance as Phillips shares his positivity through songs related to personal growth after major life transitions.

Slime time!

Get ready to get slimed! Nickelodeon Slime Fest returns to Chicago's Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island on Saturday and Sunday, June 8-9, featuring a Slime Maze, a Slime Pit, a Slime Disco and a load of Nickelodeon stars (presumably also slimy).
