Apply to join Fittest Loser At Work Challenge

The Daily Herald is still accepting applications for the 2019 Fittest Loser At Work Challenge.

In the last five years, this community weight loss and fitness competition has helped hundreds of participants learn to become more healthy by working out with friends and co-workers.

Teams of five compete against other teams in the friendly, 12-week competition that runs parallel to the Fittest Loser Challenge from February to May.

Participants can sign up for myriad challenges, workouts and educational opportunities hosted by the Daily Herald and its sponsors - most of which are free.

Winners are determined by the percentage of weight loss by the team. The team scoring offers a bit of privacy - no individual weights are ever published.

The winning team will receive a donation to the charity of its choice, as well as individual prizes, which will be awarded at the finale in May.

To apply, go to events.dailyherald.com/fittest-loser/. The deadline to apply is Jan. 18.
