New block of 'Hamilton' tickets go on sale Monday

A new block of "Hamilton" tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, that will presumably keep the hit Chicago production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning musical in town through May 26, 2019.

Tickets will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the CIBC Theatre box office at 18 W. Monroe St., Chicago, by phone at (800) 775-2000 or online at broadwayinchicago.com.

There is a maximum purchase limit of 12 tickets per household for performances taking place from Jan. 22 through May 26. Tickets range from $75.50 to $195.50, with a select number of premium seats available for all performances.

The online lottery for 44 $10 seats for all performances continues. Lottery seat locations vary per performance but always include the first row.

"Hamilton" tells the story of West Indies immigrant and Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, the nation's first treasury secretary.
