Ghost-hunters to explore Genesee's legends Oct. 20

The Supernatural Investigation Crew is going to examine the ghost stories of the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, with "The Ultimate Paranormal Experience" at Oct. 20.

Tickets go on sale Friday. SIC describes itself as a team of experienced ghost hunters. It will have a YouTube series, "In the Shadows," this fall.

The event will look into phenomena associated with the 91-year-old theater, such as "the girl with the brown shoes," "the ghost puppy" and "the man in the tall hat," according to a news release from the theater.

The two-hour all-ages version at noon costs $10 for children, $30 for adults. Snacks, juice and milk are included.

The 18-and-over three-hour events are at 3, 7 and 11 p.m. Tickets are $50, which includes hors d'oeuvres and soft drinks. A cash bar will be available.
