Mini tire inflator fits in your saddlebag

Nothing is more important for safe motorcycling than to keep your tires properly inflated. MotoPumps makes two products that allow a rider to easily and quickly keep their tires properly filled.

These tire inflaters are great for garage use, but they are so small, you can carry one on the road in a saddlebag, a tail bag or tank bag in case you have a flat tire, or just need more air when you're out on the road.

MotoPumps' Mini Pro is a powerful unit measuring 2 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 5.75 inches deep, yet weighs only 18 ounces.

The Mini Pro has a main power cord with SAE plug and an adapter to plug into a cigarette port power supply with a total reach of 10 feet. It also sports a 3-foot air hose with a brass, zero-loss connector.

This model features ingenious packaging so the coiled air hose inflation cord stows into the unit, as does the power cord. There is also a built in LED work light and a backlit tire pressure gauge.

Adding 10 pounds of air pressure took about 90 seconds and all the cords fit easily back into the unit's case. There is even three sports inflater tips, which also fit into the case, to inflate balls or even an air mattress.

This unit sells for $69.95 and for another $10 you can get a neoprene case, which really isn't necessary.

MotoPumps also offers a smaller unit called the Air Shot. It takes a bit longer to add air, and has a few less features, but is also quite effective for inflating motorcycle tires. That model sells for $59.95.

Both are quality products, but I'd spend the extra $10 on the Mini Pro just to have longer cords and the sports adapters.
