Wonderful deck needs accessorized

My father-in-law built this deck 12 years ago. It can survive a hurricane! Raising three daughters and getting through the recession has set us back quite a bit. My husband has always wanted outdoor seating, maybe a raised fire pit. He built a ground-level fire pit on the grass, but we rarely take chairs down to the fire. He is a true outdoorsmen (Eagle Scout) and would live outside year round if he could.

Our patio set is from Home Depot; another was a hand-me-down. It would be great to replace the table and chairs with a comfortable sofa with cushions. Thank you for considering our submission.

This is a pretty deck that just needs some new patio furniture to accommodate both a dining and seating area.

Budget: $10,000

Suggestions

• Update the dining set with both dining chairs and swivel/rocker dining chairs with umbrella.

• Create a secondary lounge area with deep-seating, cushioned teak set.

• Add a matching teak cushion box to store the cushions.

• You can even add a matching teak three-piece bar set for entertaining.
