From Sunday to Sunday, March 4-11, special deals on three-course prix fixe lunch and dinner menus will be available at 13 restaurants in Rosemont. Participating eateries are: Adobe Gila's, Bub City Rosemont, Five Roses Pub, Fogo de Chão, Gino's East, Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse, Hofbräuhaus Chicago, Kings Dining & Entertainment, Liberty Tavern, Moretti's, Morton's Steakhouse, Park Tavern and RAM Restaurant & Brewery. honeygrow debuts

honeygrow is finally making its way to the suburbs with the Friday, March 2, opening of a new location in Schaumburg. The fast-casual restaurant features stir-fry and salad combinations, a build-your-own honeybar (mixed fruit base with toppings and honey drizzles), cold-pressed juices and new spring items. Friday's ribbon-cutting will feature Village President Al Larson at 10:15 a.m. The first 100 customers will eat for free Friday. After that, $5 of every meal sold on Friday is being donated to Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit that provides nutritionally complete meals to malnourished children across the world. honeygrow is at 1741 E. Iron Chef + Lake County Restaurant Week

Lake County Restaurant Week, which runs Friday, March 2, through Sunday, March 11, kicks off with the Sedgebrook Iron Chef Invitational, a cooking competition between the retirement community's executive chef Kira Eggert, Eddie Merlot's executive chef Aric Spiczka and Fleming's chef partner Steve McCarty on Sunday, March 4. During the competition, the executive chef and sous chef will prepare an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. Three judges, including State Rep. Carol Sente, will determine the winner. Lake County Restaurant Week features prix fixe menus and special offers over 10 days at almost 60 restaurants including fine dining, casual, family-friendly, brew pubs, sports bars and more. Francesca's turns back the clock for special throwback dinners that include the original 1992 menu with 1992 prices at select restaurants Tuesday, March 6. Menu highlights include mussels in spicy tomato sauce ($8.99), carpaccio tre-colore ($9.99), risotto con funghi ($8.99), lenticchie e spinaci ($5.99), conchiglie alla carrettiera ($10.99), rigatoni alla siciliana ($8.99), ravioli ai spinaci ($10.99) and pollo arrosto alla romana ($12.99). Kings hails 'The Dude'

In celebration of “The Big Lebowski's” 20th anniversary, Kings Dining and Entertainment in Rosemont is hosting a “Big Lebowski” night starting at 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 6. Guests can show off their best impression of “The Dude” during a costume contest. There will be free bowling for guests who dress as a “Big Lebowski” character and continuous screenings of the movie. Stop by the bar for one of their signature drinks - and a staple of the film - the White Russian. Kings is hosting a social media contest that will award $100 in Kings rewards for the best picture posted to social media that night with the “Dude” mural. Sullivan's intros Bar Bites

Sullivan's Steakhouse in Naperville recently launched a new Bar Bites menu that includes creative takes on classic dishes such as filet Wellington bites, tuna poke shooters and truffle steak tartare. New fish dishes at Perry's

Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in Oak Brook is adding six new dishes to its seafood menu. The crispy skin wild red snapper ($39.95) is served with chive whipped potatoes and truffle vinaigrette, while the pan seared sea bass ($44.95) comes with creamy corn and red pepper coulis. The everything crusted ahi tuna ($42.95) is served with Asian slaw and ginger tomato fondue. The Atlantic salmon with cauliflower mousse ($36.95) can be prepared one of three ways: grilled with lemon dill butter, grilled with basil sun-dried tomato butter or Moroccan-cured. LongHorn enhances its menu

LongHorn Steakhouse is going bold with its menu update. Recently added items are grilled lamb chops (marinated bone-in lamb chops with a roasted tomato garlic-herb sauce), pork porterhouse topped with garlic-herb butter, El Dorado chicken (grilled chicken breasts topped with house-made pico de gallo), strawberry pecan salad and strawberries and cream shortcake. Duo dinner

Chef Michael Lachowicz of Restaurant Michael and George Trois in Winnetka is teaming up with chef Giuseppe Tentori of The Boka Group for a “Cooking with Michael” series.
