Obama-rama: Where you can get cool Barack merch

Thousands of Barack Obama T-shirts, mugs and totes are being sold, designed with everything from the artistic "Hope" logo to goofy sayings like "Barackin' Out."

But in the last few weeks, hundreds of new Obama products have been released in anticipation of next week's presidential inauguration.

The official stuff

Official inauguration merchandise is available at pic2009.org/picstore.

Unique items include a $130 Chicago Bulls-colored basketball jersey with the name Obama and the number 44 on it (he's the 44th president); a $6 presidential coloring book; and an $82 china plate with the inauguration logo.

All of the products are made in the United States, the Web site states.

For an inauguration party

You can have Obama attend your inauguration party if you buy the life-size cutout of him ($34.99 at csnstores.com/asp/show_collection.asp?XnID=26279). For added laughs, they also sell John McCain, George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton and others.

The cutouts will be even more fun after sampling Three-O Vodka's recipe for the Three-O-Bama drink (1 ounce of their vodka, 1 ounce of Blue Curacao and 4 ounces of Red Bull, mixed with ice and garnished with a cherry).

At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, the Macy's at 111 N. State St. in Chicago will host a pre-inauguration party on the third floor.

Models will showcase Macy's evening wear, and fashion experts will be on hand to offer head-to-toe styling tips. They'll have passed hors d' oeuvres and cocktails, mini makeovers and complimentary chair massages. No reservations are necessary.

Special Obama merchandise also will be sold, including colorful eco-totes ($12.95 for the small and $24.95 for the large). They're made of 100 percent African cotton by artisans in Rwanda and Kenya who were inspired by the president-elect.

Another product is Macy's exclusive Waterford Crystal inaugural paperweight for $99. The crystal piece is engraved with a picture of the White House and the date of the inauguration.
