Letter: Say their names
The graves of m Say their names en and women who served our country were decorated each with a flag for Memorial Day. Volunteers walked the rows, paused at each final resting place as the veteran's name and service were spoken. Naperville VFW Post 3873 welcomed all hands that sunny morning.
Hearing the veterans' names echoed other names we hear on the news when other tragedies occur. Each specific.
Each forever gone.
Most of the dead are lying beside loved ones as we living above do our best to honor, to remember, to adjust our sails. Say their names. Say all their names.
