Letter: The state flag distraction

Our Illinois politicians are very determined to pass a bill to change our state flag.

Great work, Illinois politicians. You should be so proud that you are looking out for the people of this state. With all the issues that face Illinois, this is what these leaders are focused on.

If this weren't so sad, it would be comedic. How much will this bright idea cost the hardworking taxpayers of Illinois?

This reminds me of the law passed in 2012 when Illinois became the first non-Pacific state to enact a law that bans the sale, trade or distribution of shark fins. The law is designed to help end the killing of sharks for their fins and prevent the collapse of shark populations worldwide. Great work again, Illinois pols.

Seems the only sharks in Illinois are the politicians, but then again, that would be an insult to sharks everywhere.
