Letter: Wisdom, insight needed in district

We three retired Barrington District 220 principals support and agree with the endorsement by the Daily Herald of Barry Altshuler, Diana L. Clopton and Leah Collister Lazzari for the Barrington District 220 school board.

We speak from the perspective of a long- term relationship with the community and the school district. The three of us have lived in the school district and paid taxes for a total of 131 years. We currently live in the school district long after our retirements. We served the community for 61 years as administrators and worked for dozens of school board members who had diverse views and expectations. We have observed how these board members interacted with the superintendent, the staff and the community.

In our judgment Barry Altshuler, Diana L. Clopton and Leah Collister Lazzari have the wisdom and insight to make wise decisions on issues we know about today as well as unknown issues that lie in the future.
