Letter: Board member is not sensitive to taxpayers

I disagree with Daily Herald's endorsement of Meg Sima (Tax to the Max) for the following reasons:

1. While most taxing bodies in Lisle held their tax levy the same or lowered it since 2018, school board President Sima increased the Lisle School District levy every year while she was in office - except for one. She offered Lisle residents a bone the year after a referendum to lower school district taxes.

2. The Lisle school board built a new $30 million school without a referendum.

3. Lisle is the only village in Illinois with a population of 23,000 that has four school districts in it. Sima did nothing to address this costly and inefficient issue.

4. The village of Lisle has not increased its tax levy in six years. The Lisle First group has promised not to increase the tax levy for the next four years. Tax to the Max Sima has not made the same promise.

Lisle, if you want your taxes to increase the next four years, vote for Tax to the Max Sima.
