Letter: Regulation not enough

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a longtime consumer advocate and thorn in the side of banks, is proposing tighter federal regulation of a bigger cohort of banks. Tighter regulation is only one side of the coin. The recent bank failures may have had more to do with lax oversight and failure for authorities to respond to the numerous red flags that should have been apparent.
