Letter: We need the green space

I read with amazement the letter published last week from Doug Ward proposing development in the former Route 53 corridor. The land in our state does not have to have building/construction on every inch. Some of us enjoy green space. For certain the wildlife does.

I was very happy the Rt. 53 corridor will not be used for more homes. We need grewthen space.

And the writer is also calling climate change "foolish." Really? With California getting 8 feet of snow, torrential flooding, the rest of the country battling tornadoes and flooding, then extreme heat, and he sees no climate change?

We have had a mild winter in northern Illinois. Wait until summer ...
