Letter: Contributing to turmoil in district
When I tell my friends in the community what I've seen and heard while attending the monthly D211 School Board meetings over the last 18 months, they're shocked to find out what's happening right in their own backyard.
• Proud Boys menacing people in the parking lot.
• Awake Illinois members threatening to beat up attendees.
• Extremists screaming insults at board members trying to speak.
• Extra armed police being required for security
How can this be happening here?
One reason is that these extremists have found comfort in their views from the words and actions of board members Mark Cramer and Peter Dombrowski. Now, with a wink and a nod, many of these same extremists are supporting both of these men for reelection.
To help put an end to the chaos, the residents of High School District 211 need to show up for the April 4 election and cast their votes to reject the turmoil that Cramer and Dombrowski have fostered. We deserve better.
