Letter: Re-think documents policy

When testing for bugs in software, we have a saying: the more you test the more you find. That is true with many things in life, including what we are seeing with respect to confidential documents discovered in private possession of presidents Trump and Biden, and now ex-Vice President Pence. What matters now is if these leaders are cooperating, and if there was any harm to the national security due to these findings.

It wouldn't be surprising if such documents are discovered with other past occupants of the White House. It is time to rethink, re-engineer and re-enforce strict controls along with checks and balances with respect to these documents and overall national security.
