Letter: Democrats pretend they're different
Reading the Jan. 18 letter of James Prescott brings to mind the supreme leader of lying, which is our current president Joe Biden. Prescott refers to recently elected House Rep. Santos from New York, who has admitted that he has lied about his credentials while running for office. Lying from politicians is nothing really new. Just look at Massachusetts Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who lied all throughout her career being of Native American heritage, unless you consider 1,024th a valid lineage. That lie got Warren into Harvard and accelerated her political career. Bill Clinton ... "I never had sex with that woman." Barack Obama ... "you can keep you doctor." Santos is one of 435 U.S. representatives, Elizabeth Warren is one of 50 U.S. Senators but Joe Biden is the one president of the United States. What he says is of national and international consequence. His lies have involved his son's death, his college career at Harvard, driving 18 wheel trucks, being arrested with Nelson Mandela, having Puerto Rican heritage, his son Hunter, having no knowledge of classified documents in his garage and outright multiple plagiarisms. The list can go on and on.
Some of these you might contribute to senility or dementia and rightly so but Joe has been a serial liar since the beginning of his dismal career in the U.S. Senate. Democrats always argue what they do is not like what the Republicans do. In fact, in this case, they are entirely correct. Santos admits that he has consistently lied. Biden never admits that he lies. Where is Bob Oswald when you need him.
