Letter: Coverage ignores birds

The Daily Herald has ads and articles on how important it is to protect bird habitats, fly ways and nesting areas. You even have a climate change and environment reporter who has articles regularly. And yet, not one article has been written about the Obama presidential shrine and basketball court being built in Jackson Park, a federal, supposedly protected park that was not to be changed. More than 600 trees will be cut down to make way for the shrine, and Jackson Park was an important protection for birds. It doesn't seem like the Herald is really that concerned about the birds.
