Letter: Someone must step in to help end a brutal war

If asked, I believe people of all ethnicities in the world would agree that the war in Ukraine must somehow come to an end. How many more lives must come to a brutal and savage end? How many more homes must be destroyed?

How much more damage must be done to Ukraine's infrastructure preventing the residents remaining in their country from having some heat, light and water?

Surely there are some leaders in this wacky world of ours be they political, religious, economic or whatever, who care enough about the continuing inhumanity in Ukraine to come together and consider how they might play a role in bringing this savage war to an end. Yes, I know about the United Nations and other international groups, but they so far have not been able to stop this war.

I pray to God that the international leadership in our world may find a way to bring the war in Ukraine to an end. Surely Pope Francis could play a significant role in such a group.
