Wrong location for distribution center
RE: Carpentersville Logistics Park
Carpentersville is considering a proposal for a million square foot warehouse/distribution center at Randall and Binnie roads. The proposal is for three warehouses and 320 semi stalls. The village board needs to reject this awful development.
Due to the health hazards of diesel exhaust, the adverse effects on traffic and the environmental concerns, I believe this development has no place in this residential area. We are not against warehouses or distribution centers - but not when they are situated across from a children's zoo and within 1.5 miles of two elementary schools.
We already have five massive warehouses going up at Randall and Longmeadow. Together we are looking at 900 semi-trailer stalls. The impact on Randall Road traffic will be devastating. Diesel exhaust is a health hazard. It is also close to residential homes.
Citizens need to voice their concerns and convince the Carpentersville board to reject this awful proposal.
