Letter: Paper tilted to conservatives
Under "Your Views" Concerning Joe Rosenfeld of Elgin's article, "Columnists tilted too far toward Republicans." I must agree.
Even the placement of front- and second-page articles give a clear slant. But back to the "Opinion Page": Byron York's columns for example, make his Fox News, Alabama upbringing very clear. Not to mention the concept of "research" or "checking facts," is completely foreign to him.
Why he is so often given preference in the newspaper is baffling, in this difficult age of trying to find truth. He is an extreme conservative republican, we get that, it's been drummed enough. Enough.
On to the positive, I would really like to see more articles by Marc Munroe Dion. His articles seem well thought-out, timely, balanced views and has a variety of topics he regularly addresses.
Others of similar research/fact orientation would be appreciated.
