Letter: Why no good guy with a gun story on Page 1?

I was very disheartened to read about the shooting in Greenwood, Indiana, a story buried on the inside last page of the paper's first section. Thank God a man with a concealed carry permit and a gun was there, or many more people would have been killed or injured. The Greenwood police called him a hero. Don't heroes make the front page anymore?

If guns are taken away from good citizens, then only the bad guys and the government will have them.

Highland Park had a law forbidding the kind of weapon the shooter used to kill and maim all those paradegoers on July Fourth. As I said, the bad guys will always find a way to get their hands on their weapon of choice when mayhem is their purpose.

This story was a perfect chance for you to present a different perspective on the mass shooting issue. Why didn't you see fit to do that? I'm glad you at least printed the story. Outlawing guns isn't the answer. Getting the Ten Commandments back in the schools sure could help, however.
