Letter: Cheap gesture on gas
Will Joe Biden ever realize he has caused the fuel shortages in this country and around the world when he went to war against fossil fuel? Now he thinks he can rectify the wrong by eliminating the federal tax on gas for three months.
Follow some simple math. Let's agree you will save 20 cents a gallon for three months. Your car has a 20-gallon tank. When you fill up, you save $4.00. You fill up four or five times a month so you will save $16 to $20 a month. Big deal.
Want to help everyone? Then turn on the pipeline, start drilling again, work toward becoming energy independent and sell to the rest of the free world at a fair price. When this is resolved then focus to closing the border, etc., etc.
