Letter: Praise for management of school grounds
I have been a resident of Wheeling for about 67 years and have seen many changes in our town. Among the most notable are the grounds of our Wheeling High School.
All of my children graduated from Wheeling High, thus I am aware of the landscaping over the years. I have never been prouder of our school grounds as in the last seven years since our 20 acres of manageable turf have been immaculately and constantly taken care of by Kurt Reynolds, the athletic field manager.
His dedication to the grounds show throughout the baseball fields, softball fields, soccer and practice football fields by the accolades that have been bestowed annually since 2015 from the Pioneer Athletics "Fields of Excellence" and additionally from the Illinois Sports Turf Manager's Association as the 2017 Field of the Year. We are certainly very fortunate to have such a diligent and hard working man in our town.
