Thanks for the laughs on Biden's accomplishments

It was good to see that you haven't lost your sense of humor. It's great to start the day off laughing so much your sides hurt. I'm referring to your apparently satirical front-page article Jan. 17 entitled "Virus, division persist after a year of Biden."

I don't know what prompted you to choose this AP article to include, but it was pure genius. This was worthy of "The Onion" or an SNL skit. Please allow me to provide the four best highlights, although there are many more.

1: "Indeed America saw normalcy, some say dignity, return to the White House." What a riot. God help us if this is considered normal or dignified. It's as "normal" as men walking on the moon and as "dignified" as the Three Stooges.

2: "The discipline, drive and baseline competence from the new White House produced notable results." They were notable all right, but nearly all disasters. Drive and baseline competence, hilarious again. The president works half days and vacations weekends in Delaware, and competence is as absent as the president's memory.

3: He won approval of a cabinet that was half women and a minority of white people for the first time. Stop it. You are too much. I can't stop laughing. Gender and race the main criteria? Who cares about qualifications or competence? Pete Buttigieg Director of Transportation? Come on, man. What a riot.

4: "There's something to be said for the professionalism of the White House and not going from one fire to the next." This one takes the cake for sure. Maybe they are not going from one fire to the next, but they haven't put any out and keep starting new ones.

Thanks for the laughs. But I do have one question for you. You were kidding, right?
