Letter: Legalization of marijuana has created a toxic risk
Like a recent letter writer, I argue strongly against allowing cannabis in any form including medical cannabis unless approved by the FDA.
To quickly summarize, legalization has been associated with increased adolescent use, increased traffic fatalities, increased abuse of opiates and opiate overdoses, psychotic episodes, suicide, depression, academic failure, violence, and worsening PTSD. We should consider today's cannabis a toxic substance that increases risks to communities.
