This 1995 comedy is built around an unlikely romance between Billy Crystal, playing NBA referee Mickey Gordon, and Debra Winger, playing airline customer service rep Ellen. But as a sidelight, Chicago native Joe Mantegna gives an endearing performance as a sports writer who is best friends with Mickey and in flashbacks, tells the story of his complicated relationship with Ellen. Available on DVD, Blu-ray and several streaming platforms.
