Why was scofflaw free?

RE: " Waukesha parade crash suspect's bail raises questions," Nov. 23:

How anyone who is a multiple repeat offender/felon and who already was accused of using his SUV as a deadly weapon, hospitalizing an innocent victim, could be released on $1,000 cash bail is unacceptable. Also, anyone who instills fear and terror within a community is a terrorist by definition in my opinion. This tragedy demonstrates that the role that glorification of violence has toward numbing and hardening people such as Darrell Brooks Jr. to commit this unspeakable crime that has irreparably and forever harmed the lives of dozens of innocent victims simply attending a Christmas parade.

We need to strengthen and enforce our laws to punish criminals - particularly repeat offenders/felons. People who have consistently demonstrated no desire to integrate into our society and live by our laws should be isolated from the rest of the community to protect law abiding citizens. We should also never give a platform to these people who celebrate and seek to provoke fear, terror, and mayhem in our communities. Enough is enough.

I proffer my deepest sympathies to the families of the victims.
