I would like to know if the policy of the editors of the letters column is to allow anybody to say any cockamamie thing they want to when you "turn it over" to readers. Allowing someone to essentially repeat a Heritage/Trump lie about the US giving $1.6 trillion to China and India when the Paris Climate Accords were signed is irresponsible journalism in the guise of bothsiderism. An accusation like that needs a complete explanation and corroboration. Merely asserting it as a fact is irresponsible. Maybe it's your policy to allow anyone to concoct stories like that and pass them off as true. If it is, it's lousy journalism.
